Gyn-Oncology Infusion Nurse Practitioner

 

The Gyn-Oncology Infusion Nurse Practitioner will function as a provider within the Infusion Clinic setting at the Brown Cancer Center, caring for Oncology patients.  The Gyn-Oncology Nurse Practitioner will function in collaboration with multiple Oncology Specialty physician groups in the care of adult patients with multiple oncological illnesses. His/her primary responsibility as a member of the oncology team will be symptom management of oncology patients while receiving infusions in the infusion center. They will perform physical exams, collect and document data, organize approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consults, prescribe appropriate interventions and medications, and provide direct patient care services in the infusion center at the Brown Cancer Center. The Oncology Nurse Practitioner will contribute to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting and provide leadership within the organization and the nursing profession.

 

Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

  • Masters degree required.
  • Must hold valid Advanced Practice Nursing Licensure in the state of Kentucky.
  • Additional Oncology certification preferred

 

Experience (required and preferred):

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant advanced practice nursing experience. 
  • Prefer academic medical center experience. 
  • Prefer previous GynOncology APRN/RN experience
