SUMMARYThis position requires strong planning and organizational skills. Primary activities will include supporting the calibration engineers and teams to manage and aid in the release and launch of calibrations. Your excellent communication skills and self-motivation will enable you to manage fleet calibration issues and concerns, driving them to resolution.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead weekly meetings to communicate progressMonitor and analyze automotive powertrain data to identify any issuesDocument and track issuesLead and manage all issues through to resolutionDisplay strong planning and organizational skillsProvide clear, effective, and confident communication at all levelsPrepare technical reports, papers and presentationsWork closely with customers, suppliers and internal teamsAbility to adapt, integrate and work well with others is essentialMaintain a specialist working knowledge of new technologies as appropriate to the roleObserve all safety rules and regulations. Must act safely and be responsible for the safety of others around the work area Maintain awareness of and meet the requirements of the Company Quality SystemEmployee duties are not limited to those stated above, but are inclusive of any tasks assigned by supervisor/managerQUALIFICATIONSMinimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in related fieldProfessional qualifications as appropriateMinimum 3 years’ experience in powertrain calibration developmentDetailed knowledge of internal combustion engines and testing techniquesExperience with engine calibration and calibration toolsKnowledge of Engine Management Systems (EMS) principles including the use of calibration tools and processes Understanding of current powertrain control system architecturesExperience working with On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) testing and calibrationKnowledge of legislative requirements for OBD, exhaust and evaporative emissionsAbility to work well under pressure and to strict time constraints, as part of a team or individuallySelf-motivated with the drive to complete tasks in a timely manner with appropriate attention to detailFlexibility with working hours and willingness to travel to customer sites for both long and short durationsKnowledge of script writing capabilities for data reduction and analysisWorking knowledge of Matlab/Simulink analysis and simulation packages
