Navistar is seeking a dynamic

Technical Specialist-Powertrain

to support our S13 Sustaining Powertrain activities. In this role, you will lead and drive problem-solving initiatives for MY25-26 certification, CARB Omnibus, ongoing Field Quality (FQ), and Product Change Requests (PCR). Youll effectively communicate top issues with peers and leaders, ensuring the Navistar brands high standards are upheld in all R&D activities. Youll collaborate closely with Powertrain SMT, Controls & Software SMT, Calibration SMT, and Certification & Compliance teams to ensure the S13 powertrain remains competitive and compliant in the marketplace. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement.Responsibilities:Manage Powertrain related daily activitiesDrive warranty, field issue, and fault code occurrences to closureReview Pyxis Concerns and assign resolutions to responsible owners and follow through to closureInteract with Scania team to communicate SW and calibration issues and define release planningManage all Powertrain related Change Requests through CCB meetingsProgram budget monitoring and review, and re-allocationInteract with Sales and Marketing for feedback and new feature requestsMinimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 12 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologiesORMasters degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 8 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologiesORPhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 5 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies or specialized technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologiesAdditional Requirements:

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
