Data Center Electrician Specialist

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and possess strong electrical and mechanical skills.Main Responsibilities:Oversee power planning and layout management for data cabinets.Test, install, and optimize power strips and breakers associated with data cabinets.Evaluate and power receptacles located under a four-foot raised floor, involving frequent stooping, kneeling, or crouching.Collaborate with facilities management to ensure optimal cooling design and temperature maintenance for all servers and devices.Document new power installations and maintain records using programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Nlyte.Maintain and operate electrical and mechanical equipment within the data center.Troubleshoot electrical issues and restore power during outages, managing electrical breakers, UPS, ATS, and generators as required.Install and maintain lighting systems and controls.Execute small projects including conduit and wiring installations.Respond to customer requests, manage work orders, and perform additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:Graduated from an accredited Electrical Technical School, such as the IBEW Joint Apprenticeship Program.Military equivalent experience combined with a minimum of two years in a related field.High school diploma or equivalent with at least three years of relevant experience.A minimum of five years of professional experience.In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code and industry standards including OSHA and NFPA.Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.Effective time management and prioritization abilities.Ability to operate independently and consistently meet goals.Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing to interact with clients and team members.Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends, holidays, and some night shifts.Regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl under a four-foot raised floor.#300
