Outreach Coordinator - Greater Hazelwood
The University of Pittsburgh's Office of Engagement and Community Affairs is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to support the Director of the Greater Hazelwood Neighborhood Commitment. This role will focus on fostering and sustaining community and University collaborations, strengthening partnerships, and supporting the development and implementation of the resident and community engagement strategy for the future Community Engagement Center in Greater Hazelwood.Job Summary
Assists in creating and implementing a robust resident engagement strategy. Attends neighborhood-based community meetings, distributes flyers, and offers program information sessions. Supervises undergraduate interns and student workers. Provides residents and community stakeholders with tours and orientations.Essential Functions
Additional Qualifications:- Reliable transportation is preferred.- Knowledge of the social, political, and economic dynamics of Pittsburgh, and specifically those of Greater Hazelwood, is preferred.- Demonstrated skills in utilizing social media tools (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), flyer and other visual material creation tools (Canva, etc.), newsletter distribution (Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, etc.) for audience engagement is preferred.Additional Expectations/Work Conditions:- This position is 100% in person.- Regular evening and weekend hours are required.Additional Duties:- Assist the Director with development and coordination ofCommunity-University partnerships.- Complete regular activity and outcome reporting documentation.Physical Effort
