Certification Details BLS - Basic Life Support ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support State License 1 Verification NIH Stroke Certification (if the facility specializes in stroke care) Job Details Registered Nurse position available for Cardiac Stepdown unit. The assignment is for 13 weeks with 3x12 nights shift. 5 North/Step-down is a 20-bed (all private room) unit with a ratio of 4:1 or 5:1 depending on staffing. Patients range from pulmonary, cardiac, neuro, GI, and stable surgery patients with a risk of becoming unstable. Critical drips administered include Amiodarone, Esmolol, Insulin, Lasix, Cardizem, and Nitroglycerin. Adult med-surg, telemetry, and step-down patients are cared for based on bed availability. Job Requirements BLS and ACLS required. 1 year experience required. Schedule Information 3x12 nights shift for 13 weeks. Unit Specific Information The Step-down unit caters to a mix of pulmonary, cardiac, neuro, and GI patients. Critical care capabilities include administration of specific critical drips. Additional Details Government issued photo ID required on person during hours of service. Residency Declaration form required if nurse is working on a compact license.
