The Orthobiologics Engineering team is seeking a Co-op to support and assist with product development efforts. This Co-op will be responsible for CAD modeling, drawing updates, reverse engineering of products, and the ability to present data/results from product testing to cross-functional teams.This Co-op will run from January 2025 - June 2025. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility. Main Objective:To support and assist with the product development efforts on the Orthobiologics/Vet Engineering Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support product development process. Reverse engineer products (Ex: Test Fixtures). Facilitate engineering change orders. Update CAD models and create engineering drawings. Assist with maintenance projects and performance evaluation of products. Write and perform protocols. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a recent graduate, required.
Sophomore or above studying Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering preferred. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.) General understanding of engineering design process preferred. Basic knowledge of anatomy/physiology preferred. Excellent organization and leadership skills. Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0. Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: Experience with CAD software (Solidworks, Creo, or AutoCAD) required. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
