Property Field Claim Specialist

position is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated, and experienced individual. The ideal candidate will embrace Central's mission of providing excellent hospitality, achieving optimal claims outcomes and operating at maximum efficiency. We are seeking a claims professional who is experienced in adjusting claims for residential and commercial risks and who is up for the challenge of assisting our insured's during catastrophes. Ultimately, you will be critical in helping us achieve our vision of becoming the most intelligent claims organization in the world.

How You'll Make an Impact

Field-based role: Travels via assigned company vehicle within a defined territory to manage, meet, and handle all aspects of an assigned volume of mixed severity and complexity personal and commercial lines 1st party property claims throughout the life of the claim in a field-based, remote environment.Assist other Claims lines of business in assessing and investigating 3rd party Property Damage claimsCatastrophe duty, handling 1st party property claims requiring travel outside of your defined territory for up to 21 days.Provides internal and external proactive hospitality service by setting expectations, building rapport, and responding to requests in a timely mannerConducts claims investigations to analyze coverage and assess damagesDemonstrates effective and efficient file managementManages all components of assigned volume of property claims throughout the life of the claim, which includes coverage analysis, investigation, setting reserves, damage evaluation, resolution and ongoing communication with all stakeholders.Handles occasional overflow of personal and commercial lines 1st party property claims in a virtual desk environmentMakes decisions within delegated authority to promptly and accurately set and adjust loss reserves and issue paymentsManage dispute resolution activity including litigation and alternative dispute resolution methods including appraisalCompletes advanced property training as needed and participates in special assignments as requestedParticipates in Claims-sponsored workshops, training sessions, claim roundtables and resolution strategy sessionsDevelops positive value-add relationships with agency partners and collaborates with internal stakeholders including Underwriting, Loss Control, Marketing, Subrogation and SIUDetects and mitigates fraud when investigating claim through early detection of indicators that warrant a referral to SIUComplies with state regulatory/statutory requirements, corporate privacy and other claim policy requirementsAssists team development with subject matter expertise in technical learning objectives, onboarding and assisting supervisor when needed.Understands and utilizes various resources including technology and tools to resolve claimsWhat You'll Bring

Ability to obtain and maintain all required state department of insurance adjusting licensesBachelor's degree in related field and 2 years of property claims experienceOr 4 years property claims experienceMust possess and maintain a current, valid driver license within residing stateAbility to move and carry ladder (up to 50 lbs.)Ability to climb ladder to access 1 story lower slope roofsPreferred Qualifications

Prior field adjusting and/or construction experienceExtensive knowledge of Verisk (Xactimate and Xactanalysis) estimating platformWork AuthorizationCentral will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
