As a
Property Claim Representative , you will be a part of the core property team working in a hybrid model in our Home Office. You will be a key player on the team responsible for handling an assigned volume of low to moderate complex Personal and Commercial lines first party property claims. Be responsible for internal and external proactive hospitality service by setting expectations, building rapport, and responding to requests in a timely manner. Participate in claim-sponsored workshops, training sessions, claims round tables and resolution strategy sessions and participate in CAT claims handling as needed.
How You'll Make an Impact
Manages assigned volume of 1st party Property claims within Personal and Commercial underwriting verticalsAssists other Claims lines of business in assessing and investigating 3rd party Property Damage claims.Performs in-depth investigations, manage dispute resolution activity and participate in CAT claims handling as neededOccasionally completes local onsite field inspections and handling as assignedInvestigates, evaluates, negotiates and settles assigned claims within authority limitsDevelops and follows strategic action plans throughout the life of the fileProvides proactive hospitality by appropriately setting expectations, building rapport, and responding to requests timelyBuilds relationships and appropriately communicates with agency partners, internal and external stakeholdersImplements proper recognition, investigation, referral and communication regarding subrogationDetects and mitigates fraud when investigating claimsSets accurate initial reserve in a timely manner and continually reviews accuracy in the context of ultimate probable exposureWrites estimates utilizing company approved estimating softwareMaintains appropriate file expenses containment and utilizes approved suppliersAssists team development with subject matter expertise learning, onboarding assistance, and assisting supervisor as neededCompletes training as assigned including advanced property trainingHandles special projects as assignedParticipates in claim-sponsored workshops, training sessions, claims roundtables and resolution strategy sessionsWhat You'll Bring
