Performs a variety of clerical and secretarial duties for the efficient and effective operation of the school administrative offices. Coordinate office and otheractivities for the betterment of students, instructional staff, support staff as well parents and members of the community

Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Three years related experienceSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Supervisor and/or Board of Education may find appropriate

Essential Functions:
Assist in the coordination and implementation of security measures to ensure safety of students, staff and school community membersPerform research for principal or designee; collect data and compile information, edit communication/newsletters to parents, students, staff, and the community; arrange for distributionReceive, screen, route or reply to all mail and email communications as appropriateReceive and screen phone calls and visitors to the administrative school officeProvide information and direct phone calls and visitors to proper place/person in schoolReceive and account for all monies collected in conjunction with fundraising and other school activities; maintain financial records and billings.Assist with building budgetAssist in recording student attendance and daily attendance reports for buildingEnroll, register, and withdraw studentsMaintains good relationship with PTO/PTA representatives and acts as a liaison between school and home for PTO when appropriateSchedule appointments and maintain calendars for meetings, conferences and building useCoordinate a variety of office functions and communications; prepare and accurately maintain a variety of reports, records and files related to students, staff, operations and activities.Prepare transcript requests, including those for withdrawn studentsMaintain records for visitors to building and student check in and check outsAdminister first aide and assist with school health clinic as neededContact parents/emergency contacts when needed and appropriatePrepare both statistical and routine reports, memoranda, bulletins, etc.Maintain and account for requisitions and purchase ordersCoordinate maintenance, repair, and supplies for copy machine, fax machine and other office equipmentDistribute and collect staff leave forms and process time sheets for building as appropriateContact parents of students who have not reported to school by designated timeAssist with building purchase order process including requisitions, supply and inventoryAssist EMIS coordinator where needed to process EMIS information, e.g., change of address, phone number, guardian, registration etc. in student management system and learning management systemMake contacts with the public with tact and diplomacyMaintain respect at all times for confidential informationInteract in a positive manner with staff, students and parentsAttend meetings and in-services as requiredPromote good public relations and customer serviceSuch alternatives to the above essential functions as the Supervisor and/or Board of Education may find appropriate
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Respond to routine questions and requests in an appropriate mannerIssue appropriate passes to studentsAssist with building AESOP needs as requested by supervisorAssist in preparation of academic progress reportsPerform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent
