Adjust claims within their claims authority and in accordance with established claim policies and procedures and under the guidance of senior leaders. Deliver excellent claims service to all customers, through effective claims management.
Responsibilities
We are looking for an individual with experience in adjusting primary Cyber insurance claims. You will be given mentorship and training within the existing Claims team and via external sources to support your ongoing development in the following responsibilities over time. From day one, you will be involved in various aspects of these responsibilities:To proactively adjust claims within your authority level and in accordance with the Canopius claims vision and obligations; ensuring and delivering excellent service to all our customers;To ensure that sufficient financial provisions, in accordance with the Canopius reserving philosophy, are held for all claims under your handling;To instruct and proactively oversee lawyers, adjusters and experts from the Canopius panel;To develop a thorough understanding of the Cyber underwriting and claims portfolio and ensure a close collaborative working partnership with underwriters to help them to develop business in accordance with their business plan; contributing to the winning of business and act as a brand ambassador for Canopius; and,To develop and maintain relationships, and drive and oversee your team's relationships, with key external customers (key brokers, eternal vendors, and insureds).Qualifications
We are seeking an individual with existing cyber coverage skills whether through being a claims adjuster, loss adjuster, coverage lawyer or otherwise. :
Claims handling regulations and related claims handling systems;Claims technical expertise to include policy coverage and liability assessment, claims negotiation skills, and setting of claims strategy;A proven track record of effective management of primary cyber claims demonstrating a technical competency; and,Knowledge of issues affecting the cyber insurance market.
Salary Range: $100,000- $150,000
