Job Summary
The Accountant will manage general accounting functions for the U.S. and Canada, including month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and compliance with GAAP reporting standards.
This role requires a detail-oriented, quick learner with a strong desire to understand processes and support continuous improvement within the accounting team.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct general accounting activities, including month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.Analyze accounts, make necessary adjustments, and prepare reports and summaries as required.Perform specific analyses and manage transactions for cash, leases, and fixed assets.Oversee daily general ledger activities and assist with internal control documentation and SOX testing.Support management through data collection, financial analysis, and participation in special projects.Assist with audits, including financial, tax, and SOX-related audits.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a multinational company.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions.Knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance standards.Experience with SAP and Blackline preferred; CPA is a plus.Preferred Qualifications
