Find your purpose as the Director of Finance | Financial Planning & Analysis at CentraCare! The Director of Finance is a CentraCare, system level, finance leader focused on providing personal inputs to various leadership levels that encourage system performance that meets system objectives and operating potential. Provides accurate, timely and relevant financial information to support effective performance monitoring and support operating decisions for CentraCare. Interprets operating results, communicates the interpretation and acts as a catalyst for the changes required to assure satisfactory operating performance. Fulfilling these responsibilities relies on information developed within the scope of this position and contributed by colleagues.
Specifically, this individual will lead the financial planning an analysis and operations finance services with their areas of responsibility and is part of the area of responsibility senior leadership team. This includes annual financial forecasting, capital planning, analysis and communication of monthly financial performance, capital spending justification, expenditures justification, key financial performance metrics, financial counsel to the leadership team and other duties. Most importantly, this individual, in coordination with the leadership team, will help ensure the organization meets its financial goals.

Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance required; Master's degree preferred.5 years at a minimum of successful experience leading finance in a healthcare organization of comparable complexity.Work experience should include extensive knowledge of finance software and reporting systems.Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) or FHFMA designation preferred.Core Functions:
Leads financial planning and forecasting initiatives for the areas they support.Leads capital planning and capital projects justifications for the areas they support. Directly participate in building and capital projects in development, operational and financial support.Ensures financial key performance indicators are in place, monitored, and understood.Analyzes, communicates, and ensures the organization understands the drivers of financial performance.Participates in Executive Council meetings by sharing ideas and information, serves as the finance expert to the leadership teams.Advises and counsels site Senior Leadership Team and Operating Committee on all financial matters including operating results, capital, and budgeting.Working closely with Financial Services and Financial Decision Support, ensures the underlying drivers of financial variation are identified and works collaboratively with leadership to eliminate unwarranted variation.Collaborates with Performance Excellence, the Transformation Management Office, and Finance department peers to drive financial improvements in the areas they support.Works in collaboration with Government Reimbursement to ensure cost reports and other regulatory filings are valid and complete.Assists in establishing the organization's strategic direction and annual goals and objectives.Works closely with Operations and physician leadership to ensure a culture of financial accountability exists and financial objectives are met.Develops staff and maintain professional relationships among staff. Hold accountable for clear and specific expectations by assuming a mentor role.Provides financial education to improve the financial acumen of the organization.Provide support for System projects as assigned.
