Staff Accountant
Remote home office, MUST BE LOCATED IN PACIFIC OR MTN TIME ZONE
Regular Full-Time
As a key member of the accounting organization, you will be responsible for month-end processes, including payroll reconciliation.
Responsibilities include:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes in order to support consolidated financial resultsUpdate account reconciliations using the Blackline software.Obtain detailed supporting documentation for account analysis on a monthly basis and maintain for annual audit processPrepare and maintain prepaid accounting reconciliations, record monthly prepaid amortization expensePrepare assigned monthly journal entries related to the close process, including general ledger adjustments, accruals and other recurring journal entries on accounting system.Manage the ESOP accounting process in support of ESOP accounting,Prepare bi-weekly payroll journal entries, including vacation accrual entriesPrepare benefit accrual accountingReconcile payroll taxesUpdate the monthly prepaid balance sheet reconciliation to reflect new activityAct as local administrator for Blackline monthly reconciliation software

Education Requirements:
BS in accounting or similar level of accounting background, technical experience a must.
Experience Requirements:
• 2-3 years' experience as an accountant, specifically with minimum of 2 years as a staff accountant
• Payroll accounting experience required
• Proficiency with Word and Excel
• ERP experience a must
• MS Access and Blackline as a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Cooperative, collaborative work style - teamwork approach
• Problem-solving skills and self-motivating
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between:
SF Bay Area: $65,000 and $85,000 /year;
Outside of SF Bay Area: $60,000 and $75,000 /year;
however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include discretionary bonus based on achievement of company goals in addition to a full range of health insurance, life, disability, retirement (including 401k) and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, volunteer time dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
