We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Network Engineer to join our team in Los Angeles. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's complex network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.Design and implement large-scale network architectures to support our growing business needsManage and optimize network performance, including troubleshooting and resolving complex network issuesConfigure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancersDevelop and implement network security policies and procedures to protect against cyber threatsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure aligns with business objectivesLead network upgrade projects and new technology implementationsCreate and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating proceduresImplement and manage network monitoring tools to ensure proactive issue detection and resolutionDevelop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network infrastructureStay current with emerging network technologies and industry best practicesQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise-level networksCCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification required; CCIE or equivalent advanced certifications preferredStrong expertise in network protocols, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRPExtensive experience with Cisco networking equipment and other major vendors' hardwareProficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, load balancers, and other security appliancesSolid understanding of cloud networking concepts and experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Scripting skills in languages such as Python or Bash for network automationExperience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and network automation toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approachExcellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environmentProven track record of managing complex network infrastructures and leading network upgrade projectsKnowledge of network security best practices and experience implementing security measuresAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities efficientlyWillingness to be on-call and work flexible hours as needed for critical network operations
