As a Jr Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure, to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and softwareMonitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they ariseImplement and maintain network security measuresCollaborate with senior engineers on network design and upgrade projectsPerform regular network backups and disaster recovery operationsDocument network configurations and maintain up-to-date network diagramsProvide technical support to end-users for network-related issuesParticipate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 network availabilityQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field0-2 years of experience in network engineering or a related fieldStrong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCPFamiliarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewallsBasic knowledge of network security principles and best practicesExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsBasic scripting abilities in Python or BashExperience with network monitoring toolsStrong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and teamwork skillsCompTIA Network+ certification preferredCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred
