Montgomery County Intermediate Unit ! The
AWARE Engagement & Outreach Coordinator
will foster and strengthen relationships with school-based practitioners, mental/behavioral health providers, and community partners to maximize the impact of the Project AWARE program. This role will focus on building connections and partnerships while supporting stakeholders in effectively utilizing the Project AWARE PA Findhelp site and related platforms. Through relationship-building and collaborative engagement, this position will work to increase platform adoption, ensure data accuracy, and expand access to mental health resources across school districts and the stakeholders served as well as service providers.
Qualifications:
Advanced Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field preferred. Bachelor's level degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field requiredExperience in mental health/behavioral health programs and/or experience in mental health in education related experience preferredCandidates should be proficient with general technology and navigating web-based platforms; advanced technical or programming knowledge is not necessaryExcellent communication skills, organization skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to use technology to work effectivelyAbility to work as a member of a team, be courteous and able to deal effectively with people, able to work in an environment with frequent interruptionsMust have a warm, friendly, helpful personalityAbility to follow written and verbal directions, ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervisionAbility to work independently and make work-related decisions and exercise good judgementOriginal certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI
Duties & Responsibilities:
Engage with all aspects of the Project AWARE PA Findhelp site to ensure accuracy, build capacity, and grow the interaction with the site across school-based practitioners, mental/behavioral health and related services providers, and those seeking services. This position is focused on enhancing the platform, including the user experience, and therefore an understanding of the mental health/behavioral health system is necessary.Provide training and support (typically virtually) to district and school level practitioners on the Project AWARE PA Findhelp site in all Project AWARE catchment area (Montgomery, Carbon, Lehigh and Luzerne counties). Training for the position will be provided through Findhelp and other appropriate platforms at the beginning of this position and on an as-needed basis.Training and support responsibilities include developing materials, delivering workshops or session on enhancing and expanding use of the platform for service providers, school-based practitioners and other stakeholders.Engage and support of other aspects of the Project AWARE grant, including other platforms or sites created within the Project AWARE framework, to further the goals and objectives of the grant related to comprehensive school mental health/suicide prevention and intervention.Support the implementation of the three-tiered public health model for Project AWARE.Support program sustainability efforts and seek opportunities to expand the effectiveness of the project.Collaborate with other members of the Project AWARE team to support meeting the required goals and objectives.Provide ongoing feedback of the program to provide data for program improvement.Assume additional duties as assigned by the Project Director or as required for Project AWARE compliance.
Location:The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located at 2 W. Lafayette St. Norristown, PA 19401. Travel between project sites, as well as any required grant meetings will be required. Travel will be reimbursed at prevailing Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rates.
Work Schedule:Monday - Friday, 7 hours/day, 12 months (260 - 262 days/year)
Annual Salary:$55,335/year - $65,100/yearThis is a grant funded position
