Pay range:$114,088.00 - $171,142.00
The Senior Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) is a critical, hands-on role. This person has ownership of the EPIC operational database (ODB) environments, performs environment setup and configuration, proactive monitoring, and maintenance.Own the creation and lifecycle of the EPIC Cache ODB environments that serve production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non-production needs.Install and maintain the administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of the Epic system.Analyze performance metrics, monitoring system performance, and resolution of issues.Monitor and maintain RedHat Caché host servers.Maintenance of users and passwords for Caché and UNIX systems.Installation of Caché and Epic upgrades and updates to production and non-production environments.Configure and maintain environment copies according to the environment strategy.Remote Schedule Offered

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.Epic ODBA Certification required.Minimum of five years' experience as an Epic ODBA required.Strong Linux skills using the command-line prompt, including navigating directory structures and file manipulation. Understanding of operating system concepts such as user and group ownership and file permissions, file system/volume group configuration, etc. Knowledge of a command shell (Korn, POSIX, Bourne, or C), plus languages and utilities such as awk, sed, and Perl. Ability to create, understand, and follow processes to ensure successful execution of critical maintenance proceduresWhy join Overlake?

How much will this job pay?
Posted pay ranges represent the entire pay scale, from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Pay rates for part-time and per diem jobs will be pro-rated based on FTE. Some positions also offer additional pay based on shift, certification or level of education. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience and internal equity.
