Sr IT Program Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Program Manager is a member of a cross-functional team where teamwork, collaboration, balancing competing priorities and continuous learning are the norm. Works in collaboration with team leads, application build teams and clinical, financial, operational and research stakeholders. Responsible for leadership of strategic program activities and coordination of multiple related projects, working with operational team leads to understand project health, risks and issues. Establishes strong partnerships with executive stakeholders, operational leaders and business unit subject matter experts. Provides supervisory leadership, mentorship and coaching of direct reports. Develops requirements and design documentation along with use cases, based on user input. Designs future state workflow and business processes, process analysis and creates testing strategies and offers input to their peer team that supports planning and implementation of new systems or functions to ensure they are delivered with quality. Acts as an expert regarding project management methodology and tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Determines scope of the program through collaboration with the executive project sponsor, key clinical and operational users and system and application analysts. Identifies, tracks and manages risk and mitigation plans within assigned program, escalating as appropriate. Monitors progress of program activities and ensures all critical implementation criteria are met. Provides status reports to steering committees.
Utilizes a variety of project management methodologies, as appropriate, to lead the program, including Predictive, Agile/Adaptive and Hybrid approaches. Manages program scope, timeline and budget using appropriate governance bodies and Project Portfolio Office leadership direction.
Consolidates and maintains project methodology tools and templates. Acts as the program and project management methodology and tool expert within the team. Assists junior project managers in orienting team members to project tools and templates. Leads tracking resource plans and overall data integrity.
Coordinates with Architects, Team Leads and Technology leadership, as needed, to ensure project team follows department processes for quality assurance, migrations and promotions, end-user acceptance/validation, training and support. Facilitates program meetings using effective meeting techniques for objectives, agendas, participants and meeting minutes. Develops and maintains reporting dashboards suitable for Sr. Leadership to communicate project status. Conducts post-program “lessons learned” sessions to identify successful program elements and areas for future improvement.
Responsible for functional leadership, performance management and ongoing coaching of direct reports.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering required
7 years of relevant experience required
or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
2 years of supervisory experience preferred
5 years of experience in project management preferred
Experience in healthcare environment preferred
Extensive computer literacy, including expertise in Smartsheet, Teams and PowerPoint required
Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills required
Project Management Professional (PMP) may be required within a year of hire required
Agile certification (ACP, DA, or CSM) preferred

Pay Range
Pay Range: $86,482 - $129,723 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job¿s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
