Spirit Maine

is seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Project Manager to join their Manufacturing Engineering team! This role will oversee handling all aspects of technical projects for the Manufacturing Engineering organization. This person will be responsible for leading projects to increase capacity or capabilities of the production facility. They coordinate efforts among internal staff and outside vendors, as well as develop effective schedules and to manage the overall successful completion of the projectsJob Responsibilities:Drive new products and features through the development processGather and create product requirements and specificationsMake sure projects meet deadlines and are completed within budgetProvide basic technical leadershipCreate and manage the plan for moving technical solutions to final client hand-offAssemble and coordinate the internal and external teams to gain consensus on deliverables from each teamCollaboratively adapt existing and develop new project plans, processes and communication standards for the operations teamsManage the formulation and ongoing schedule and financial tracking of each projectProactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plansDevelop and deliver progress reports, required documentation, and presentationsWorks with internal and external stakeholdersIdentify technical impacts on the organization as they relate to business requirementsProvide expertise for escalated quality problems, and anticipate bottlenecks in the development cycleImplement transformational process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma toolsEnsure that health and safety policies are followedWhat we need from you:Bachelors’ degree in engineering discipline; mechanical engineering preferred3-5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or development environmentsDemonstrated experience in equipment troubleshooting and cycle time reductionExperience with drafting production documentationExperience with CAD and GD&TKnowledge of material procurementVendor/contractor management experienceExperience with supply chain management and supply chain qualityExperience leading/managing production teams (Matrix structure)Working with customers to develop deliverablesExperience with schedule management and trackingExperience with budget tracking and managementInternal and external reporting to include customer documents, data packages, CoCKnowledgeable with contract lifetime management awareness and tools capabilityPreferred:Experience with industrial tools and equipmentExperience in aerospace/high-temperature composites, textiles or industrial engineering systems would distinguish the candidateFamiliarity with Lean manufacturing principlesWhat you'll get from us:16 ETO days12 paid holidays (including Winter Closure!)Medical / Dental / Vision effective on day of hire401k Company MatchTuition Reimbursement$1000 Sign-On Bonus
