The Corporate division is the central operating unit of the company; setting strategy and policy and providing business development, finance, human resources, information technology, investor relations and legal support to the businesses. Position Summary
Provides business development and contract management support to the Teleflex Corporate Accounts group. In this role, the Administrator supports Corporate Accounts and Corporate Legal staff to achieve key business and financial objectives through oversight and management of strategic contract development and maintenance for designated corporate customers. The ideal candidate will have a wide base of business and contracting competencies, knowledge and awareness that allow for a flexible and adaptive approach, and is a positive and flexible self-starter committed to providing superior service in a fast-paced environment.
Principal Responsibilities
Assist in the development of contract proposals to support organizational goals.
Design standardized language, guidelines and templates for strategic contract programs.
Develop, implement, administer, and maintain corporate level contracts under area of responsibility in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Analyze data, draw sound conclusions, and recommend effective courses of action with respect to contract risk mitigation, standardization or improvement.
Assist in the review, categorization, and disposition of contracts, as needed, to support Teleflex acquisition or divestiture activities.
Track and store contract approvals and correspondence, and review and validate agreements for signature.
Work cross-functionally with stakeholders on all levels to develop, share and clarify best practices, processes, conditions and details within customer/product specific, business unit, and enterprise contracting hierarchies.
Triage contract requests between the Corporate Accounts and Corporate Legal departments to facilitate more expedient and effective contracting outcomes.
Participate in contract negotiation with customers, as needed, to ensure all contractual terms commitments are in the best interest of Teleflex.
Assist in monitoring the impacts of awarded contracts to ensure they continue to meet their strategic intent.
Ensure the central repository for filed contract documentation is kept complete and up to date.
Participate as needed in contract audit requests, and the preparation of audit response documents
Coordinate and monitor the proactive utilization of established tools and protocols to deliver the highest quality output for the department
Facilitate and support the implementation of process improvements within Corporate Contracts, Commercial Operations, and beyond.
Participate in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.
Education / Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, paralegal studies, or equivalent related work experience. Masters degree preferred.
3+ years prior experience in a contract administration role or a related field. Med device experience preferred.
Direct and proven experience in drafting, reviewing and editing legal documents experience is required.
Direct and proven negotiation and mediation experience
Strong proficiency with MS Office Word and Adobe Acrobat software.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Excel and PowerPoint
