The position of Senior Accountant will be based out of our Beaverton, OR location!
Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the corporate accounting bank reconciliations and non-cash treasury related account reconciliations. Heavily involved in journal entries, the month-end close process, accruals, cash book recordings, account reconciliations, research, analysis, and reporting.
What You’ll Do
Perform review of all payments for fixed asset purchases and asset additions, retirements, transfers, and cost adjustments into the Oracle fixed asset system, including asset account reconciliations on a monthly basis
Complete payroll accounting journal entries, accruals, reporting, and any ADP maintenance when a new branch or pay code is assigned
Complete bonus accounting journal entries and reconciliations to ensure each divisional balance complies with support obtained during the month
Maintain Capital Expenditure Request (CER) assignment and tracking, and complete monthly reporting to track purchases made and the spend amounts per request
Manage Pcard and Travel card accruals on a monthly basis for purchases made on corporate credit cards
Assist with headcount entries on a monthly basis to account for all headcounts including temporary, full-time, part-time, and leave of absence employees
Prepare account and bank reconciliations on a monthly basis to ensure checks have cleared and any voided checks are properly accounted for in the payroll system
Perform reconciliation and analysis of intercompany and balance sheet accounts
Maintain cash book recording, including all incoming and outgoing cash transfers to the general ledger
Record recurring/standard journal entries to the general ledger according to amortization schedules
Maintain and record third-party (utility/trash/wireless) consolidations to the general ledger
Assist with audit requests
Prepare month-end close journals and record to the general ledger
Perform electronic bank deposits and journal bank receipts to the general ledger
Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need
4 Year / Bachelor's Degree
3+ years related business experience in Accounting
Previous experience with balance sheet account reconciliations
Month end close experience
Experience in researching and explaining account variance issues
Hyperion Enterprise experience preferred
Access database experience preferred
Must be deadline driven, results-oriented, highly responsible and accountable. Self-motivated, with integrity and strong ethics.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines set-forth by Management including but not limited to month-end close activities
Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Strong understanding of general ledger and flow in multi-location environment
Must be organized and detail oriented
Ability to handle multiple tasks/prioritize workload
Ability to communicate with branch and corporate personnel; strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient PC skills-including knowledge of Microsoft Office
High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work in a high-volume atmosphere
Experience with AS400 ERP
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License
