Atria Books is seeking a Publicity Assistant to work closely with senior members of the Atria Publicity department and provide overall administrative support to a very active department. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn all aspects of book publishing with a focus on the publicity process. This role will assist on campaigns for high profile, fiction and non-fiction titles from some of the most respected authors in the literary community within the Atria imprint of Simon & Schuster.
Responsibilities
:
Responsibilities include administrative duties, as well as involvement in all aspects of publicity campaigns including creating press materials, booking author tour travel, researching contacts, and pitching media. Candidates must be passionate about reading, eager to learn about media relations, interested in book signing events and partnerships, supremely detail-oriented, creative, possess strong writing skills, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, , and proficiency in Excel, Google docs, PowerPoint, social media platforms, as well as general computer skills.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
