Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department.Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs.Demonstrates leadership abilities and is a role model for other associate technologists.Acts as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit.Performs diagnostic imaging procedures, practicing all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety.Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.Prepares patient for exam, provides information and instruction, and responds to their needs.Facilitates smooth patient flow, scheduling and optimal use of equipment/resources.Communicates effectively with staff in facilitating the continuum of care.Performs IV starts and contrast administration as required.Provides on-call coverage outside of standard scheduled hours per department and/or facility policy.Completes required hospital/medical imaging paperwork for each exam performed.Maintains technical operation of equipment and reports problems as necessary.Maintains clean work area for employees and patients.Proactive in problem identification and responding appropriately.Maintains compliance with all State, Federal, accreditation and hospital regulations and standards.Contributes to ACR accreditation as requested.Demonstrates effective time management and prioritizes workload to meet productivity requirements.Adapts to rapidly changing technologies, policies, regulations, and staffing.Job Requirements

Float Requirements: Floating may be required to any Centura location within 60 miles of the original assignment location or Centura-identified 'float zone'.Float assignments may include duties outside of original assignment job requirements in accordance with Centura policy.
