Volt is immediately hiring a Production/Manufacturing Technician in the Cloverdale CA area.
The Production Technician will help operate the foundry to produce metal powder for 3D printing and/or assist with powder processing (sieving, separating, packaging).
As a Production Technician you will:
Operate plasma-arc foundry to melt and atomize high performance alloys used for the 3D printing industry.Set up and operate production sieving systems to separate the granular powder into different size categories for different 3D printing system requirements.Handle and package manufactured powders per safety procedures and operational quality specifications.Monitor production manufacturing process sensors and capture critical quality and manufacturing process data parameters.Work safely with high power plasma, vacuum and high-pressure gas systems.Maintain, troubleshoot issues and repair equipment as needed
This is a Fulltime role
Ideal candidate will have:
Experience operating machinery or working in a manufacturing facility is strongly preferredHands-on experience with machinery and machine process troubleshootingExperience maintaining a production performance log is preferredExperience operating a foundry is a plus, but not requiredKnowledge of hand- and power-tools is a plus, but training will be providedCore knowledge of different metal types is a plusAble to perform basic calculationsBasic computer skillsReasonable hand-eye coordinationCommitment to working safely and looking out for the safety of others
Pay rate is $25-$29/hr
