Volt is immediately hiring for a Sheet Metal Former for a manufacturing company in El Cajon Ca.

As a Sheet Metal Former you will:

Prepare and position metal tubes and rods for various processes specifically draw bench processes.Set draw bench speed and operation using levers and buttons.Insert rods into dies and holding jaws.Place tubes into pointer machines for swaging.Apply lubricating chemicals to materials.Mix chemicals for lubrication as needed.Cut metal materials using a saw.Assist with departmental tasks.Move parts within the facility.Ensure workpieces meet specifications.Monitor machines for defects or malfunctions.Measure workpiece dimensions when necessary.Maintain a clean work environment.Follow work rules, show up on time, and interact well with colleagues.Perform other duties as assigned or needed

This is a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity,.

The ideal candidate will have:.

High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).6 months industrial manufacturing experience or equivalent of education and experienceOperate equipment and systems.Follow safety guidelines and procedures.Use hand tools and measuring devices.Read and understand instructions.Handle and install materials.Use basic math, including decimals.Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Schedule: Monday to Friday

1st shift: 5 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.2nd shift: 1:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.3rd shift: 10:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m

Pay: $18.75 to $21 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
