System One is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer (hybrid) on a 12 month contract position on a wind fam located in Cheyenne Wells, CO.
Electrical Engineer Responsibilities: Overseeing and contributing to large-scale wind projects.Responsible for providing electrical expertise, with a focus on evaluating project drawings and handling requests for information (RFIs) across multiple projects.Project Overview includes Large Projects near Siebert, CO; Two large wind facilities, which is starting construction soon, followed by a third wind facility that will begin construction shortly after these first two.Lastly there are smaller capital projects within the CO region that the engineer will also have opportunities to work on.
Electrical Engineer Requirements: 5-7 years of Electrical Engineering experience with 2-3 years specifically in the renewable generation project space (construction or engineering design).Willing/able to travel to site.Familiarity with ProjectWise, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam would be helpful to review EPC contractors' drawings (technical review communication tool).SAP a plusBachelors degree from an ABET accredited school or strong/commensurate experince.Strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical skills to resolve answering questions, troubleshooting design conflicts, etc.Knowledge of/familiarity with NCRs, RFIs and the ability to understand and manage the scope of a contract.
Duration: 12 monthsLocation: Cheyenne Wells, COPay Rate: $62-65/hrPD offered for non-local candidatesMileage/Travel will be reimbursed
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from office/home on office work and in the field at the facilities where the construction is taking place which would require travel. Will be working on Cheyenne Ridge and Singin Grass wind farms in/near Siebert, CO. It is expected to be onsite at least 3 days per week during construction.
