Who We Are: The Strategic Aerospace Department in the Defense & Intelligence Solutions Division provides the USAF with engineering services that increases the warfighters capabilities specifically for the bombers, tankers and heavies platforms. We provide world-class research, design, services, and support, offering both new products and solutions to legacy issues for the US Air Force Global Strike Command, DoD industry, Allies, and U.S. Government. Objectives of this Role: Work with multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians in the execution of complex R&D program in support of national security. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Collaborate directly with Electrical and Mechanical engineers to develop printed circuit boards and interconnect systems for PCBs in support of MIL-SPEC avionics flight electronic hardware. Will work in a team environment as well as independently to complete assigned tasks with direct supervision. Development of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and Library component generation. Requires PCB design experience. Position may require additional hours to meet project schedules. Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent or an Associates or Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Aeronautics Technology. 10-15 years: Those with a Bachelors degree require 10-15 years of experience in printed wiring board design. 25 years: Those without a Bachelors degree will require an advanced working knowledge of Mentor Graphics PADS Professional, and/or Xpedition with at least 6 years in printed wiring board design. Interconnect principles and practices designing low level and complex PWB designs is desired. Basic understanding of configuration management and electronic development methods are required. A good understanding of Signal Integrity as well as a good mechanical aptitude is desired. Prior knowledge of IPC standards, Digital, Mixed Signal, and RF electronics PWB designs. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
