Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Description
Our company serves the OEM marketplace primarily within the medical, food service, material handling, and heavy truck industries by supplying housings, covers, and enclosures. The Quality Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality by utilizing various software and tools to measure and analyze components and finished products.ResponsibilitiesOperate and program the CMM, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on CMM machine using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.Measure dimensions of components and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.Read and write CMM reports.Develop work instructions for CMM set-up and operation for various programs.Use calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and various other hand tools.Ensure accuracy and precision in measurements, both for customer sample layouts and production first piece and dimensional checks.Assist Quality Director in dimensional inspection of products for PPAPs and investigations.Collect and analyze data for measurement systems analysis, capability studies, design of experiments, gauge R&R, etc.Review acceptance criteria defined by customer documents to ensure appropriate inspection methods and identify and document any drawing/specification errors.Compile and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to customers for approval.Assist Quality Director in defining and delivering responses to customer requests and inquiries related to product quality.Essential SkillsExperience with FARO ARM CMM.Proficiency in Pc-Dmis Software and SolidWorks.Ability to read and write CMM reports.Working knowledge of statistics and data analysis.Ability to utilize precision measuring instruments.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with first article inspection and PPAPs.Ability to develop work instructions for CMM set-up and operation.Experience in data collection and analysis for measurement systems analysis, capability studies, design of experiments, and gauge R&R.Why Work Here?
