Description Basic Function: The Security Analyst as directed by the IT Manager and Chief Information Officer will implement, support, and maintain industry-standard security best practices, create and maintain security documentation and procedures, and monitor the environment for security risks and vulnerabilities. Responsibilities: Contribute to IT security projects assigned by the CIO and IT Manager ensuring they are completed within appropriate time Work with System Administrators to ensure patching and vulnerabilities are remedied as soon as possible. Monitor third party vulnerabilities scans and create action plans for remediation. Continuous improvement and maintenance of Disaster Recovery Mechanisms including testing and documenting results. Help maintain and continuous improvement of the IT Policies and Procedures Assist with security improvements provided by third-party cyber security Manage the handling of CUI in the environment and the compliance of vendors and suppliers. Assist IT manager with software licensing and compliance Carry out monthly email security simulations document and provide end user awareness training. Work with HR and training coordinators to maintain end user training curriculum and ensure end user security awareness stays up to date. Ensure and manage endpoint protection and log collection. Keep an up-to-date record of any company POAM, SSP records updating scores in the SPRS system. Create policies and procedures that adhere to industry standards that include but are not limited to the requirements of NIST, DFARS, and CMMC. Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent, associate or bachelor's degree A minimum of 3 years of IT and network Strong written and verbal communication Knowledge of security policies, regulations, and standards. Understanding of security technologies and tools such as encryption, access control, and multifactor authentication.
