Davidson is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL.
The junior-to-intermediate-level candidate will perform Cyber system security engineering activities supporting all phases of systems development with an emphasis in network support. Additionally, the candidate will support RMF compliance activities, such as scanning systems for vulnerabilities, updating STIG checklists and updating the system's POA&M as required.
Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Support system security requirements, architecture, design, development, evaluation, certification, and accreditation.Work with Product Teams in support of secure operating systems, applications, networks, hardware, databases, etc.Perform vulnerability scans and assist teams in mitigating findings.Learn and incorporate new Cybersecurity products and capabilities into the production system.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experienceCurrent DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (i.e., Security+, etc.)2 years of network administration (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper etc.)Basic familiarity operating in Windows and Linux environmentsGood communication and critical thinking skillsFluency in reading and comprehending network diagrams, interconnect diagrams, and network configurationsDesired
Competencies/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)Additional Operating System Environment Certifications i.e., (Linux+, RHCSA, Net+, CCNA, VMware Certified, etc.)Basic familiarity with Enterprise virtualization, such as ESXi, KVM, or OpenShiftTechnical writing experienceMilitary air defense experienceBasic Wireshark and PCAP analysis experienceSIEM experience, preferably with Elastic Stack
