Job DescriptionWe are looking for a talented Supply Planning Coordinator - Level II to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our Cummins Inc. facility in Oshkosh, WI.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Efficient Material Planning: By determining the quantity and order date for materials, you'll ensure that production schedules are met and customer demands are fulfilled promptly. Expediting Orders: Your ability to expedite purchase or production orders will help minimize delays and keep operations running smoothly. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Reporting any work-related injuries or hazards and complying with HSE standards will contribute to a safer workplace. Quality Assurance: Performing quality checks on material planning master data and working with Quality to handle non-conforming materials will maintain high standards and support the Plan for Every Part (PFEP). Effective Delivery Management: Initiating purchase and work orders, participating in allocation calls, and collaborating with suppliers will ensure timely delivery and balance supply with demand. Inventory Optimization: Repositioning excess inventory and managing part change requests will help minimize excess and obsolete inventory, ensuring efficient use of resources. Supplier Performance Improvement: Supporting the Deliver Supplier Improvement Process initiative and reconciling order boards will enhance supplier performance and reliability. Team Collaboration and Development: Communicating effectively within your team, completing training, and participating in improvement projects will foster a collaborative environment and contribute to continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesTo be successful in this role you will need the following: Process Optimization: Continuously seek the most effective and efficient processes to get tasks done, always aiming for improvement.Materials Planning System Utilization: Master the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans. Use tools like Excel, Access, TOAD, and OMS for problem-solving, but rely primarily on the planning system for daily operations.Part Change Control Management: Evaluate and implement engineering change requests to meet customer delivery requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.Plan for Every Part (PFEP): Apply PFEP principles to ensure the right part is delivered at the right time, in the right quantity, to the right place. Focus on the relationships between master data management, materials planning parameters, material flows, transport management, and warehouse management.Master Supply Scheduling: Establish and maintain a valid Master Production Schedule that meets customer expectations and maximizes operational efficiency. Ensure procurement, production, and replenishment schedules are aligned with manufacturing and assembly assets.Materials KPI Management: Monitor and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain performance. Use this data to drive improvements and strategically balance trade-offs to influence KPIs while minimizing negative impacts.Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to detail in all aspects of your work, from data entry to quality checks, to ensure accuracy and reliability.Effective Communication: Communicate effectively within your team and with support teams. Participate in training and personal development to align with business requirements and career goals.Education/Experience:High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.QualificationsAdditional Information:ERP experience is a plusMicrosoft Office background a plusCompensation:Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range.
