A Day in the Life - Ethanol Grain Operations https://andersonsinc.wistia.com/medias/w0uxx6atxvPosition OverviewThis position is responsible for performing grain operations activities in the areas of inspection and general operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform inspection activities such as weighing trucks, gathering product samples, product testing and evaluating product qualityOperate grain handling and receiving equipment; provide customer service to delivery drivers and perform data entry of delivery detailsMonitor equipment and processes to identify issues; resolve or escalate issues as necessaryOperate various types of mobile equipmentPerform general housekeeping activitiesWhat is expected of you and others at this levelMinimal job-related experienceWork is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomyDuties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detailMinimum Qualifications & SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent preferredValid Driver licenseBasic computer and data entry skillsPrevious grain operations experience preferredPhysical Requirements and Working EnvironmentWork is performed in an ethanol production facility that operates 24x7Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of timeAbility to frequently lift/push/pull up to 75 poundsMust be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 180 feetWorks indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperaturesWorking conditions could include dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfacesThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
