12-Hour Shifts: 0645-1915; 1845-0715.Schedules are made out for 6 weeks at a time.Staff is allowed to submit up to 6 requests off per 6-week scheduleUnit Specific Information
Unit: MedSurg (Cost center 6090)Number of beds: 52-Beds - all private roomsRatios: 1:6-7 (Mostly 1:7 for both Day & Night shift)Weekend Requirement: Every other weekendFloating: Other MedSurg, MedSurg/Oncology units, etc.Common diagnosis/Types of patients: All ortho post-ops, neuro post-ops, general post-ops like gallbladders, mastectomies, sleeve gastrectomy's, infections, COPD, CP, pneumonia, cellulitis, etc.Additional Details
If a patient is being testing for COVID they will usually remain on this unit, unless it is going to take longer for result - then they will transfer the patient to the COVID unit;Floor specific orientation: General hospital orientation, then 2 full shifts on the unitTravelers experience with peritoneal dialysis is HIGHLY preferred.
