SAIC has an immediate need for a
Navy and Marine Corps IT Director
to serve as the SAIC NIWC Atlantic and USMC Solutions technical and customer relationship manager located on-site in
North Charleston, SC . Candidates within proximity of Quantico may be considered.
JOB DUTIES:
(include but not limited to)Successful delivery of a current portfolio of programs as well as the growth and capture of new programs with the USMC and NIWC Atlantic customer in the Enterprise and Mission IT technical space.Lead multiple program managers with a variety of programs focusing on Navy and USMC C5ISR systems, naval fleet platforms and systems and naval enterprise IT systems.Ensure the integration of activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance of all their respective programs.Manage current customer relationships, partner with the NIWC Atlantic and USMC Market VP to develop the overall NIWC Atlantic growth strategy, and enhance our core capabilities as they relate to customer technical requirements, specifically in the areas of mission and enterprise IT.Develop productive relationships with customers and industry partners alike to integrate technology into maritime platforms and develop strategies to support the Warfighter.Use their knowledge of naval C5I systems, processes, standards, and methods to help develop, implement, and deploy engineering solutions and services for use on individual programs and throughout the Navy Business Group.Sustained profitable growth is an important factor of the position.Ability to develop market and customer growth strategies, to create executable plans and build a pipeline to achieve the strategy, to closely interact with the potential customers on future opportunities, to lead the development of solutions, and to ensure the capture of new work.Lead and manage a team of teams, be responsible for a large number of employees, and the proper staffing of all programs.Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science and eighteen (18) years or more industry experience. Additional education and certifications may be considered in lieu of years of experience requirements.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:A proven record of managing complex government information technology programs (revenue greater than $50M/year)A proven record of Identifying, managing, and nurturing top-level government client and potential client relationships and conducting program-level client assessment. (do you want to tie to industry experience?)Leading and managing program managers and providing oversight to managed programs in the portfolio.Identifying, planning, executing, and supervising business development strategies and directing multiple simultaneous capture and proposal effortsStrong record of identifying, qualifying, winning capturesDeveloping and executing annual and quarterly financial plansMeeting cost, schedule, and performance objectives to drive top-line and bottom-line growthMaintaining prescribed financial controls and assuring the integrity of financial mattersLeading efforts where the scope and complexity of responsibilities require the integration of multiple disciplines and functionsCoordinating efforts with supporting organizations including contracts, procurement, project control, finance, and human resourcesRegular interaction across all levels of management. Interactions may involve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading other senior level managers that result in the best business outcomesCreating and maintaining a collaborative, inclusive environment conducive to the professional growth and development of staff and the free flow of information throughout the entire organizationExperience leading teams and developing talent to drive successful execution; organizational change and strategic leadership for an organization of a hundred or more employeesREQUIRED CLEARANCE:US Citizen with an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain up to Top Secret/SCIDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience identifying, managing, and nurturing Naval, in particular Marine Corps, client relationshipsPMP certificationDefense industry experience is preferredExperience in bringing innovative approaches to address complex problems bridging operational and technical domains.
