Certification Details BLS ACLS Job Details A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for ICU RN's. 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. 2 years of unit experience. 13 Week contract. Job Requirements 2 years of unit experience. of Beds: 34 Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 ICU, 1:4 PCU Patients: Adults and Peds >15 years old RNs required to titrate drips: Yes Charge Nurse on each shift: Yes Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: Yes RT Equipment: Nasal cannula to vents RN required to read their own strips: Yes Schedule Information Shifts: 0630-1830, 1830-0630 Weekend Requirements: Every other Holiday Requirements: Every other or as needed based on unit needs Floating Requirements: Will float to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU Orientation: 2 shifts of unit/department specific orientation Unit Specific Information Med Surg ICU RN Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Neuro surgery, Respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, general surgery, psych/OD, GI bleeds, cancer specific surgeries Equipment: Zoll -Thermoguard for hypothermia protocol, Bell Mont rapid transfuser Draeger heart monitoring with centralized telemetry monitoring. Additional Details Fast paced unit with volume flexes due to being primary tertiary hospital for the system.
