Manager, Learning & DevelopmentJob Description: HITT Contracting is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to manage the overall function of training and development companywide. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in both training and leadership development. The L&D Manager will make informed decisions regarding the HITT University program structure, courses and content, employee development programs, and development initiatives. This position will also serve as an aid to developing training content and materials to support various goals and initiatives within the company. The L&D Manager will report directly to the Senior Manager of Learning & Development.

ResponsibilitiesUtilize industry best practices to best serve employees’ professional development and career pathsManage the development of new digital and ILT courses that align with annual business objectives and priorities including construction topics as well as soft skillsDesign training requirements in alignment with broader career development initiativesAdvise on leadership development for future leaders within the company and build a robust and sustainable leadership curriculumEnsure regular training of compliance-related courses company-wideAudit and maintain internal catalog of proprietary coursesDesign and facilitate cohort learning experiences, sourcing external consultant support as neededOversee the administration of the company’s learning management systemTrack and manage the program budget and vendorsMaintain L&D and industry knowledge by attending educational events and reviewing publications
QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field is required5-8 years of years of applicable experience is requiredDemonstrated knowledge of content and curriculum development, reflective of adult learning best practices, is requiredExperience developing eLearning in Articulate Storyline is preferredKnowledge of fundamental HR principles and practices is preferredHighly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsKeen attention to detail with ability to track and manage multiple projects at one timeAbility to exercise discretion in handling confidential informationEagerness to integrate into an entrepreneurial and highly demanding work environmentHITT Contracting, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
