WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ServiceNow Discovery Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing ServiceNow Discovery processes to support IT Asset Management and Service Mapping.

You will work closely with IT teams to configure and maintain Discovery integrations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the effective integration of discovered data with the broader ServiceNow ecosystem.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing ServiceNow Discovery processes to support IT Asset Management and Service Mapping.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.

Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (Discovery) or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator

5+ years of experience in ServiceNow, 2+ managing and configuring ServiceNow Discovery, including hands-on experience with Discovery patterns, probes, sensors, service mapping, and CSDM 4.0.

Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB modules, SAM Pro, HAM Pro, and CSDM.

Proficiency in network protocols, data collection, and troubleshooting ServiceNow discovery issues. Able to identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including re-designing data infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.

Experience with MID servers, network scanning, and automated asset discovery.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Discovery Configuration & Maintenance: Configure, manage, and maintain ServiceNow Discovery to ensure accurate data collection and consistent operation across the organization’s network and assets. Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies

Data Integrity & CMDB Accuracy: Oversee data quality within the CMDB, ensuring that all discovered assets are correctly classified and accurately represented, aligning with the needs of Software and Hardware Asset Management. Able to contribute to assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements

Automation & Optimization: Develop and implement best practices for automated asset discovery, including defining discovery schedules, resolving discovery issues, and optimizing scan efficiency.

Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues within Discovery and CMDB to maintain smooth operation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date asset records.

Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies, generating reports and insights on asset data as needed to support audit and governance processes.

Documentation & Training: Maintain thorough documentation of discovery processes, configurations, and provide training and support to team members as needed.

CSDM 4.0: Leverage Common Service Data Model (CSDM) 4.0 principles to structure and manage data within ServiceNow, ensuring alignment with industry standards and improving data quality and usability.
