Description of Key Responsibility:
Spearhead and execute a student engagement strategy to connect students with appropriate career resources and support for their ongoing exploration, preparation, and career readiness.
Design and deliver in-person and virtual customized career education on a variety of career-related topics for students and CCPD campus partners.
Manage the creation of communication plans that highlight key career center initiatives, ensuring timely and effective messaging to target audiences, including students, faculty, staff, and employers.
Partner with student organizations, faculty members, and campus departments to promote career center offerings and encourage student participation.
Collect and use student feedback to continuously improve and innovate career center offerings and student outcomes.
Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of Career Peer Advisors (CPAs) and student interns for successful facilitation and advancement of the CCPD Drop-In Center.
Provide student and administrative support for the ongoing implementation and execution of the All-College Career Readiness Requirement.
Support the Executive Director in engaging students and alumni with the First Destination Survey and Reporting to gather post-graduation outcomes and insights on behalf of the College.
Conduct one-on-one career advising appointments with students on various career-related needs such as career exploration, networking, interview preparation, internship & job search, graduate school planning, etc.
Oversee the Cardinal Career Closet, a resource intended to increase access to quality professional attire to students for career-related experiences, interviews, and professional networking events.
Advance the CCPD’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging for all students through the implementation of various resources for students.
Perform other related duties and tasks as appropriately assigned.

Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
3 – 5 years of experience in a field related to career development, higher education, or student affairs/student development.
Position Summary:
The Associate Director, Career Education & Outreach within the North Central College Center for Career and Professional Development ( CCPD ) will lead efforts to engage students of all degree and experience in the career development process. The Associate Director will actively cultivate a culture of career exploration and career readiness at the College. The Associate Director’s primary responsibilities will include developing and facilitating proactive career education efforts for students, exploring unique avenues for student engagement, providing mentorship and oversight of the Career Peer Advisor ( CPA ) student employee program, and guiding students through the career development process.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Associate Director will serve as a member of the CCPD professional staff, supporting students, employers, and faculty in further advancing all career readiness efforts at North Central College. The Associate Director will oversee all aspects of student engagement and connection with the Center for Career and Professional Development. The Associate Director will also play an integral role in various employer engagement efforts to sustain experiential learning opportunities for all students.
