Micron is seeking a Site Construction Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager to join our new Expansion project for our Clay, New York Site. This role will be working closely with our Construction and Facilities team to ensure that our new site is aligned with all local regulations and policies that relate to the development of this pioneering facility.
The overarching responsibility of this position will be to ensure compliance and deliver regular QA/QC reports to project management, highlighting significant quality metrics, inspection discoveries, trends, and opportunities for improvement. You will work cross functionally with all groups that are planning and road mapping our strategy for the construction of this project.
Responsibilities:
Create, implement, and uphold comprehensive QA/QC plans tailored to individual projects
Incorporating Inspection and Testing Procedures (ITPs), standards, and inspection protocols to ensure alignment with project requirements and specifications.
Organize and conduct routine assessments and audits of construction activities, materials, and installations to confirm adherence to project specifications and regulatory compliance
Identify and record instances of non-conformance, deviations from specifications, and quality deficiencies
Offer mentorship and supervision to subcontractors to ensure their work meets project quality benchmarks and standards.
Establish and maintain a comprehensive document control system to oversee project documentation
Propel initiatives for ongoing improvement in QA/QC processes, procedures, and standards
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the heavy industrial construction industry is required.
Comprehensive understanding of construction quality management principles, practices, and standards
Extensive QA/QC experience in site construction
Experience in conducting quality inspections, audits, and evaluations is required.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance is crucial.
Proficiency in MS Office and project management software is expected.
Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager)
Education and/or Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Construction Management, Quality Engineering, industry training, or a related field. Applicable experience outside of formal training considered!
Possession of a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is helpful.
Other safety certifications related to New York State highly preferred
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$79,000.00 - $135,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
