Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,099 per week

Certification Details BLS ACLS Job Details A hospital in Southern Idaho is in need of an OR RN to work a 13 week travel assignment. The nurse will be working 5 - 8 hour day shifts with call required. Job Requirements Must have 3 years experience Preop and PACU experience preferred Expect all staff to be there no matter if there are cases or not If no cases, staff may be asked to check expirations, go to ER to help task, and start IVs Schedule Information 5 - 8 hour day shifts with call required Do not do surgeries on Thursday-travelers do not work Thursdays Start time is 0700 if surgeries are scheduled Assignments for where they will be working (Preop, PACU, or OR) will be made 1 week ahead Weeknight/Call Requirements: cover call if needed end of shift to 0700 next day Weekend/Call Requirements: will cover 24 hour call if needed Holiday/Call Requirements: will cover 24 hour call if needed What is call response time: 30 minutes Unit Specific Information Department: OR | RN Suites: 2- only 1 room running at a time Average of cases per day: Mondays and Wednesdays around 4 cases, Tuesday is GYN 3-4 cases, Thursday-no cases unless emergent, and Friday around 5 cases Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Common Cases: Choles, appys, hernia repairs, abdominal hysterectomies, hysteroscopies, D&C, colonoscopies, endoscopies, C-sections 3 RNs per shift, 1 for Preop, 1 for OR, 1 for PACU Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided Surgical scrubs Floating Requirements: Preop and PACU, may task in other departments if no surgeries Additional Details Very small team everyone works together, expect everyone to help out Very slow paced except on Fridays, lots of down time Difficulty finding housing- no onsite housing but plenty of RV sites Closes place with lots of housing is Boise Unit/Department specific orientation: 2 days in OR and some training in Preop/PACU
