Summary

:

The Associate Portfolio Manager and Trader will be joining the Short Duration Investment Grade team. The team manages over $12 billion across various strategies, including Institutional Enhanced Cash and Short Duration, the Short Duration Income ETF, and higher quality-focused mandates across the yield curve. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the team to develop investment recommendations and assist in strategy implementation.

Responsibilities

:

Trade modelling and trade execution across a wide variety of fixed-income asset classes, including investing new money, portfolio rebalancing, and monitoring and managing daily cash flows

Analyze portfolio positioning relative to benchmarks and similarly managed mandates

Daily monitoring of portfolios to ensure mandates remain in compliance with investment strategies and guidelines

Identify and recommend relative value trading opportunities

Monitor news and trading flow for information that is pertinent to our positions

Maintain strong counterparty relationships with daily interaction across sales and trading

Assist team with monthly and quarterly reporting requirements, including attribution analysis of multi-sector fixed income portfolios, writing commentaries, and client reviews, as well as collateral documents and RFPs

Keep Client Portfolio Managers abreast of investment strategies, trades, and investment views

Qualifications

:

Demonstrated passion for and interest in financial markets and investments

Bachelor’s degree required within finance, economics, mathematics, or related fields plus minimum of three years work experience in a similar or related position

Highly motivated team player, with strong analytical and problem solving skills, who works with a sense of urgency and has the ability to prioritize tasks

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is critical

Good communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment; work under pressure and independently evaluate investment ideas and take ownership of investment performance

Previous exposure to and interest in the fixed-income markets

Personable, proactive, and reliable team player that shows initiative

Experience with BlackRock Aladdin preferred , but not required

Skilled in using Excel and Python to process and analyze large data sets

SIE, Series 7, 66 and 3 licenses preferred or must be obtained within firm’s guidelines

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $130,000-$170,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
