The finance/accounting team is looking to grow and bring on an Assistant Controller. This role is set up to grow quickly within the organization.
Job Description
Assist the Controller in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate reporting.Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis and variance reports.Assist in the preparation of audits and liaise with external auditors.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions.Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.Strong Cost Accounting experience3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.What's on Offer
