Job Description

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Engineer specializing in Water/Wastewater projects to join our team in Dickinson, North Dakota, United States, starting around April 2025. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring $100 million of construction activities, and actively implementing on-site quality control procedures of water treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and project specifications.

Oversee and review engineering designs for water treatment design

Oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards

Conduct site inspections and oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and environmental specialists

Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation

Analyze and resolve complex engineering problems related to water and wastewater treatment processes

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations

Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project progress and address concerns

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in water and wastewater treatment

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Valid driver's license that allows you to drive in the course of your employment.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience in water/wastewater construction projects

Professional Engineer (PE) license

Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and environmental engineering principles

Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and industry standards

Knowledge of local and federal environmental regulations related to water and wastewater treatment

Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $70,000.00 - $95,000.00.
