Did you start your career as a corporate accountant or financial analyst and transition into an Accounting Supervisor? Do you enjoy technical accounting conversations and mentoring, coaching, leading, and guiding a team of 6 -8 junior/staff bank accountants? This Accounting Operations Supervisor opportunity is centered around supporting the Bank Accounting Controllers Division of a large Global Corporation. Your time will be consumed with managing, allocating, and reviewing the work of your direct reports. You will also assist with special projects, audits, process improvements, documentation, month-end, and management reporting. You will be onsite 2 days a week to collaborate with your team and peers. There may be an opportunity to transition to a permanent team member for the chosen Accounting Operations Supervisor who exceeds expectations!
salary: $40 - $45 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
education: Bachelors
Responsibilities
Utilize your 3+ years of management/supervisory experience and technical accounting skills to supervise, mentor, coach, and train a team of 6-8 junior/staff accountants
Utilize your global corporate accounting/finance knowledge and experience along with your project management experience to lead and guide a team of bank accountants
Oversee, allocate, review, and adjust the accounting responsibilities of the bank accounting team
Participate in internal audits as well as external audits by providing the required documentation
Analyze and streamline accounting processes and procedures
Document procedures
Provide management reports
Own and execute highly visible fiduciary projects
Attend meetings with your leadership, executives, and stakeholders
Skills
Financial Planning (3 years of experience is required)
Analysis (5 years of experience is required)
GAAP (5 years of experience is required)
Financial Reporting (5 years of experience is required)
Accounting or Finance Degree (4 years of experience is preferred)
Excel (5 years of experience is required)
Stakeholder Interaction (2 years of experience is required)
Preparing Management Reports (5 years of experience is preferred)
Data Manipulation (2 years of experience is required)
Accounting Supervisory Exp (3 years of experience is required)
