Hulu Subscriber Planning is a highly transparent team of professionals. We seek backgrounds in consulting, investment banking, private equity, media & entertainment, and technology. Can you serve as in-house advisers to the Disney Streaming Services’ executive leadership and own subscriber planning for Hulu businesses?

Job Summary:

Hulu’s Subscriber Planning team is seeking a strong candidate who will be an outstanding addition to our team of strategic finance professionals. In this role, you will support Hulu’s subscriber growth by assisting the team with the subscriber planning and forecasting processes for Hulu’s SVOD and Live subscription businesses, the performance reporting of Hulu subscription KPIs, the preparation of presentation materials for executive leadership, the optimization of internal processes, and working cross-functionally on exciting ad-hoc analyses. The right person for this role has outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, great attention to detail, strong financial and business insight, and excitement for the streaming industry. A successful candidate will be able to confidently navigate a constantly evolving, multifaceted environment and seek opportunities to drive efficient processes.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

Assist with Hulu’s SVOD and Live subscription forecasts by updating models for actual performance, adjusting forecasting assumptions, identifying variance drivers, and sharing outputs with Disney Streaming teams

Use our internal subscriber database for performance reporting of Hulu subscription, ad-hoc analyses, and request.

Assist with the preparation of presentation materials for executive leadership

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Bachelor’s degree from a best-in-class school with a major in Finance, Economics or similar discipline with an analytical bias

0-2 years of finance or strategy experience and proven track record with a credible tech or media & entertainment firm, management consultancy or investment bank / private equity firm

Strong analytical capabilities and financial modeling skills (MS Excel), including the ability to build models from scratch

Simplify complex matters for an executive audience

Ability to work well in teams, both within the group and also with other business units

Balance multiple tasks and projects at the same time, while keeping management accurately advised

The hiring range for this position in California is $78,200 to $104,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
