Plant Manager (Medical Device)

Job Details

The Plant Manager is responsible for directing day-to-day manufacturing operations with P&L responsibility including production, scheduling, engineering, maintenance, purchasing and logistics at our Lien Road site. Adheres to local laws and regulations associated with managing the facility. Follows production and company objectives and coordinates activities of all operating departments to ensure facility is operating within long-term strategic plan and budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Initiates and directs the development of and adherence to safety practices and procedures and assumes ultimate responsibility for plant housekeeping and safety.Directs production activities to meet sales objectives at maximum efficiency and minimum cost.Provide leadership on integration projects, i.e., MRP, QMS, OPEX.Actively involve in new product validation activities in conjunction with Technical Operations and Sales Teams.Oversee the preventive maintenance and capital expenditure program.Implements effective programs relative to environmental compliance.Partners with site Human Resource Manager to ensure our cultural and engagement commitments are followed through on site level teams.Collaborates with Senior Management, other managers and supervisors to develop, implement and execute budget and business plan.Reviews production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.Requirements:

Ability to lead, motivate, select, train and instruct personnel.Good interpersonal, organization and communication skills.Thorough understanding of extrusion, lamination, printing, and slitting processes is encouraged.Must demonstrate strong decision-making skills, sound judgment and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.Familiarity with concepts of Lean Manufacturing and a background with successful implementation of principles of Lean.Bachelor's degree in either business or engineering preferred and 10 years industry experience with at least 5 years senior supervisory experience in a role which afforded exposure to all areas of plant operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must be a self-motivated problem solver who will drive projects and people.
