Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead/Architect - Enterprise Data Modeler to join our Enterprise Data Modeling team. The role involves developing and standardizing conceptual, logical, and physical data models across multiple domains, aligning with industry best practices and organizational objectives. The candidate will collaborate with business and functional teams to optimize data utilization, particularly in areas like fraud, banking, and anti-money laundering (AML). Candidates with prior experience in Enterprise Data Modeling teams, particularly within the Insurance or Investment Banking domains, are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop comprehensive conceptual, logical, and physical data models for multiple domains, leveraging industry best practices and standards.
• Collaborate with business and functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in data modeling tools like ERwin Data Modeler, providing guidance and support to team members.
• Establish and maintain standardized data models across portfolios and domains, ensuring consistency and governance.
• Identify opportunities to optimize existing data models and enhance data utilization in critical areas such as fraud and AML.
• Provide consulting services on data modeling tool usage, administration, and issue resolution.
• Develop and deliver training content and support materials for data models to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the enterprise data modeling group to implement governance frameworks and metrics for model standardization, focusing on automated monitoring solutions.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a Data Modeler or in a similar role within a large enterprise environment.
• Expertise in data modeling concepts and methodologies, including creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin Data Modeler.
• Proficiency in database environments like Snowflake and Netezza.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in Enterprise Data Modeling teams, particularly in Insurance or Investment Banking.
