POSITION SUMMARY
Ultimation Industries, LLC is looking for a supply chain specialist who can help us source components for our range of conveyors and material handling products. You'll be working with an experienced team of engineers, project managers, and purchasing management to find the best suppliers, evaluate project bids, and select the right suppliers at the right time. Once the material or equipment is ordered, you'll be checking in to see that everything is on track and working on strategies for new commodities. Our suppliers include domestic sources as well as key suppliers in Mexico, Taiwan, and China.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESAnalyze supply chain flow and inventory (sales, usage, and forecasting) to determine replenishment requirements and enter orders in ERP system accordingly, and also monitor material flow and shipmentsMake decisions for product ordering for optimal stock levelsResponsible for improving and establishing purchasing procedures required to fulfill the procurement, inventory, and distribution of required componentsInventory management (sourcing, cycle counting, and ERP management)Supplier relationship managementIdentify new sourcing strategies that will enable cost savings and company growthREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, operations management, business or strategic planning is desired.Strong capability in analyzing data in Microsoft ExcelAbility to work independently and make decisionsGreat relationship managementExceptional organization skills, attention to detailStrong work ethic - punctual, hard-working, and able to do what is necessary to keep projects moving ahead on time.You need to be a very strong writer, able to clearly explain commercial requirements for each commodity, including communicating with overseas partners.Great verbal skills and a positive attitudeExperience in negotiating win-win outcomes.Experience with domestic and international supply chainAbility to multi-task, with exceptional skills in prioritizing, following up, and making sure commitments are achieved.Previous experience in the conveyor, material handling or automation industry in a purchasing role would be very valuable.Experience with warehouse and inventory management is highly desired.Other Requirements:
