Corporate Tax Specialist

who is organized, responsive, and capable of managing multiple priorities within a large organization. This role provides the opportunity to make an impact across various tax functions and contribute meaningfully to the company's tax compliance and strategic planning efforts.

Key Responsibilities of the Corporate Tax Specialist:

Assist with managing income tax compliance and the tax provision process:

Work closely with external tax preparation firms to gather and report tax data for both provision and return calculations, including book/tax adjustments and state adjustments.Prepare and review tax packages for U.S. and foreign locations, coordinating with local controllers.

Consolidate and review book-tax differences to support various tax accounting needs, including:

Deferred tax balances, effective tax rate calculations, and valuation allowance reserves.Tax account analysis, roll forwards, and contingency reserves for U.S. and foreign entities.

Oversee local tax compliance filings and forecasting:

Coordinate with foreign entities on transfer pricing, cash tax forecasting, and tax-related filings.

Manage monthly reporting processes, including:

Sales & use tax filings, VAT, personal property taxes, and state and local business licenses.Ensure timely and accurate processing of exemption certificates.

Respond to federal and state tax queries, assessments, and claims, providing timely resolutions.Support income and indirect tax audits through information gathering, documentation, and strategic planningCollaborate with external firms on transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with yearly reporting requirements.Engage in tax planning and research in response to changing tax laws and business activities.Work closely with the Finance team and other departments to ensure cross-functional tax-related initiatives are completed accurately and efficiently.

Corporate Tax Specialist preferred qualifications:Bachelor's degree in related field,

Preference for an active CPA
